ok, I had this problem with messenger a while back, I just resently upgraded to aim 6.8 and now the alt 1-0 keystrokes do not want to read messages, so I removed that and instaled 5.9 and got unknown script to speak first message from end then it spelled it out. so a friend helped me get jaws 9 and that didn't work either, killed that and got 6.8 back and it still doesn't work, I need help please
I never knew aim could do that. I just shift tab to read my messages. I thought only wlm could do alt1-0?
the keystrokes should work for your aim. make sure you're in the message edit field? weird
wlm, skype scripts, and I am in the message edi field, and shift tabbing is irritating. and they used to work, but aim changed something and they don't work any more, urg
This is y I use Bitlbee now, I haven't touched AIM since 6.5. I have 5.9 installed on my desktop, incase some one wants to send me a file because bitlbee doesn't support it as of yet.
hm. what version of jaws you running? I'm running aim 6.8 and it does the alt1 etc. fine.
Wow I didn't even realize aim had shortcuts like that! I usually have to listen for the message when they write it, and if I miss it, I route my jaws to pc and that's how I read it! Wow I need to get these commands! Is there particular jaws scripts for aim?
hmm, I got six point eight myself and I'mm running jaws eight, and it doesn't read it to me either. So then, i uninstalled it and reinstalled aim six.0. And now it's working fine again
aim 6.8 and jaws 9, I'd do 10 but 10 is beater so... I'm going to wait till the kinks are worked out to upgrade
I use jaws 10 and 6.8 with no problem./
